Year 8 Curriculum
Welcome to the Year 8 Curriculum Overview. This page contains all the information you need to support your son to become a 5* Challney Learner. Each subject area has been created to include all of the relevant curriculum resources for the academic year and will be regularly updated by the Subject Team Leader in each area.

The Curriculum
There are a wide range of subjects for your son to explore as he moves through Year 8, continuing his journey as a KS3 student at Challney High School for Boys. His timetable will look similar to the example shown below;

The subjects; Art, Graphics, Photography, Engineering, Food & Computing rotate every half-term. This ensures students have the opportunity to experience a broad range of subjects at KS3 supporting their progression into KS4.
Subject Curriculums
All students have a Google Classroom for each of their subjects where resources will be regularly shared by their teachers. This is also where he finds his homework and submits it. As a parent/guardian you can recieve an email summary of any activity via Google Guardian Summaries. Please look at this link and if you need further support email admin@challneyboys.co.uk
